Request a Complete Information/Application Package

We invite you to join the growing list of organizations who are enjoying the benefits of this unique service. Go directly below to request a complete information/application package that will provide more information about National PONSI and the advantages of becoming a member organization, as well as all the materials you need to initiate the evaluation process.

Your package will include the following materials:

Excerpts from College Credit Recommendations and/or CCR Online. You will receive course exhibits that are representative of the descriptions of evaluated learning experiences that appear in our Program's guides to awarding college credit. (Your entry in the form below that asks for the type of courses offered by your organization will help us choose course exhibits that will be of most interest to you.)

Evaluation Eligibility Checklist.
This document lists the criteria that generally need to be met if both the organization and the learning experiences the organization is considering submitting for review are to be considered eligible for evaluation by National PONSI.

Program Policies on Evaluating Courses.
This gives a more detailed description of the evaluation process, starting with the official request for evaluation services, proceeding to the site visit, and concluding with evaluation outcomes.

Request for Evaluation Questionnaires.
These forms are submitted to initiate the evaluation process. A site visit can usually be scheduled in 4 to 6 weeks after the forms have been submitted. Part I requests information about the organization. Part II requests information about the learning experiences under evaluation.

Checklist for Materials to be Presented at On-Site Evaluations.
All material that must be assembled for the on-site evaluation is described in detail here.

Cost information.
Fee sheets to show the structure of the Program's fees for a site visit and ongoing program membership. Credit recommendations are valid for five years; therefore, site visit fees are incurred only once during that period. At your request, a cost estimate will be prepared for a site visit to evaluate courses that you specify.

Return on investment.
An organization that has a tuition reimbursement program would be interested in calculating the return on investment that can be realized by having college credit recommendations established. This document illustrates such calculations. Without a tuition reimbursement program, college credit recommendations can still be an important part of a marketing package emphasizing the cost effectiveness of enrolling in your courses, given that course participants can potentially save the cost of equivalent college tuition.

Excelsior College Transcript Service brochure.
Excelsior College (formerly Regents College), a fully accredited nontraditional institution, offers a special transcript service in cooperation with National PONSI. Through this service, organizations that participate in National PONSI can have courses with college credit recommendations at the undergraduate and graduate degree level listed on an official university transcript as college credit. Since colleges more readily award credit for courses listed on another college's transcript, this service has proven very helpful in promoting the acceptance of the credit recommendations.
