Instructions
As we receive questions regarding the PIR forms, we will be adding to the explanations provided. So, in some cases, the links from the form will point only to general information. Feel free to contact us via e-mail (emscpir@mail.nysed.gov) with any questions.
Only submit those sections for which you have data. For example, Part B reports on only private schools and institutions for the neglected and delinquent, with the exception of question B.9, to which every LEA must respond.
| LEA: | |
| Select LEA from the list provided. If an LEA does not appear on the list, e-mail the Title I office (emscpir@mail.nysed.gov) with the name of your LEA and your BEDS code for further instructions. | |
| When Program Offered: | |
| Separate forms must be completed for "Regular School Year" and "Summer School" AIS Programs. | |
| Part A - Title I Funded Programs | |
| This section should contain data relating to all programs funded in whole or part by Title I funds, separated by type of Title I Program. All students served by teachers funded in whole or in part by Title I funds should be counted in this Part. Teachers funded by the transfer of the use of funds from other federal titles are NOT considered funded by Title I. Students using services or materials paid for by Title I funds should be counted here also. | |
| A. 1 AIS/Title I Buildings | |
| Enter the total number of school buildings (different BEDS codes; does not have to be different physical structures) that received Title I funds for the 2006-07 school year. | |
| A. 2 Program Option | |
| Indicate ALL types of programs offered. | |
| A. 3 AIS/Title I Disaggregated Student Participation Summary | |
| Aggregate students by Gender and Racial/Ethnic Category. The totals of both groups should be equal. Count students who qualify as both Black and Hispanic as Hispanic. | |
| Service Groups | |
| Enter the number of pupils who participated in TAS and SWP programs by service group. The total number will probably be considerably less than the total number of pupils served by gender and/or racial/ethnic groups, and may include duplicate counts of certain students. | |
| Part B Title I Programs for Private Schools, Neglected & Delinquent Students, Pre-K Students | |
| This part parallels Part A for student participation in Instruction and Support Services, and staffing, for services for private schools, facilities for Neglected & Delinquent children, and for Pre-K services. All LEAs MUST complete question B.9 Family Literacy Services. | |
| Part C AIS Programs Funded in Whole or Part by Other Than Title I Funds | |
| This Part parallels Part A
for student participation in Instruction and Support Services, and
staffing, for services supported in whole or in part by funds other than
from Title I. All students served by teachers funded in whole or
in part by other than Title I funds (including teachers
funded by the transfer of the use of funds from other federal titles) should be counted in this Part.
Students using services or materials paid for by other than Title I
funds should be counted here also. Data reported in this Part is extremely valuable in documenting the scope of AIS services which are not covered by Title I funding. |
|
| C. 8 Progress Monitoring | |
| Students (usually high level 2s) who are not receiving any direct AIS services but are being monitored for possible AIS needs should be counted here. Count students who are receiving direct AIS in one subject area, but only progress monitoring in another subject area. | |
